Symmetri Technology, a Symmetri Marketing Group company, has an immediate need for a Front-end Developer to help in the build and maintenance of our Drupal websites. This role will also include: site building, performing quality-assurance testing, and performing Drupal administration tasks. The position is in our Northville, Michigan office as part of Symmetri Technology, the digital practice within Symmetri.

Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as a developer owning the front-end / presentation-layer portions of projects
  • Serve as a Drupal site builder, themer, as well as content administrator on various efforts
  • Participate in both unit and UAT testing
  • Support front-end and content related tickets to service clients ongoing site enhancement retainers
  • Continuously develop a deep understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JQuery/Javascript, Drupal, and GIT
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of our front-end development knowledge and practices
  • Develop HTML email templates to support marketing automation and campaign initiatives

Bonus Duties and Responsibilities

  • Experience working with Drupal
  • Comfortable using command-line
  • Experience with modern JavaScript tools (gulp/grunt, npm, bower)
  • Integration with Salesforce, Marketo, and Facebook

Qualifications: 

  • Must have 3-5 years experience in web development
  • Intermediate proficiency and familiarity with best practices in the following areas:
  • HTML
  • CSS
  • SASS or LESS
  • Javascript (jQuery)
  • GIT
  • Intermediate experience working with open source web platforms (e.g. Drupal)
  • Ability to execute mid-level custom front-end development assignment
  • Experience with responsive design and frameworks
  • Strong work ethic and deep desire for continual growth
  • Experience with responsive design and frameworks
  • Familiarity of cross-browser compatibility issues and approaches
  • Basic understanding of analytics, SEO, social, and marketing automation
  • Ability to create HTML email templates when needed.
  • Able to follow direction and self-manage to get tasks done according to deadlines

  • Good communicator and enjoys working with in a collaborative environment
