OVERVIEW

Hosco is a finishing system components manufacturer serving the manufacturing industry worldwide through systems integrators, and an extensive network of regional authorized distributors and agents.  Hosco met their limit with a Wordpress website and needed the depth of customization that only Drupal could offer.  The Hosco.net website was rebuilt in Drupal with a fresh design, Fishbowl inventory management integration, and a custom built distributor locator. Quickbooks and Fishbowl integration with Drupal

CHALLENGE

Hosco's previous vendor had built, but not finished a website using WordPress. WordPress projects often reach their limit when web design tasks turn into web development needs.  Creating an attractive theme is half the battle. Hosco’s WordPress website was failing as a business tool.  Content updates presented a daunting task list for their large inventory of parts and descriptions.  Creating a distributor location system was proving beyond the capability of the WordPress platform.

SOLUTION

Hosco was desperate to regain control of their web presence and find a platform with true development power. Symmetri Technology quickly migrated the WordPress site content to the Drupal platform and built a new theme to match Hosco’s company branding.

With their web presence secured on a capable development platform, Symmetri Technology then proceeded with the development of new functionality and advanced Drupal integration projects.  A custom distributor locator tool was built to help Hosco’s customer base quickly find a regional distributor for their products.

The product inventory views on the front facing Drupal website were connected to Hosco’s Fishbowl inventory management system and SolidWorks 3D model part data. These integrations push the most up to date information into Hosco’s online product catalog with high fidelity interactive part models.

Mailchimp form integrations ensure that the customer prospects are placed on the correct email list and sub-grouping. Olark online chat systems integrated to encourage immediate customer engagement.

RESULTS

The new site is now being monitored with Google analytics and Hotjar visitor capture tools.  These tracking tools collect valuable information that is now being leveraged for targeted SEO improvements.
